ASK ME - A Witnessing Tool

ASK ME is a tool for Christians to share God’s love, particularly with strangers. Inspired by the earliest known Christian cross which had been carved into a cave wall. This shape is now on pins, clothing, and jewelry. Wearing this ancient cross with the words “ASK ME” is a way to share faith with the everyday people you come across.

A message from Barry:

“ASK ME is a witness tool that shows you are willing to share God’s love with people, even strangers. Our chaplains’ desire is to share this witnessing tool with other Christian warriors who are willing to also share. When I saw this cross in a video made by my good friend Joel Kramer on the oldest known cross associated with Jesus, I knew that was what I was looking for. I shared with Joel and Kathy living in Ammon Jordon the first design and the idea. It is growing faster than I would have imaged. The design is on pins, clothing, bag tags and jewelry. For me the best part of ASK Me is sharing God’s love for people. A close second is knowing when I wear it I need to make sure I am a good example representing the Lord.”

ASK Me Pins

ASK ME pins are free to all our MV Chaplains. We offer a free pin to anyone who donates $10 or more to our MVC Incarcerated Inmate Materials fund. ASK Me Bridge Story

July 21 2024 on a Sunday I went to get gas for a trip to Pocatello the next day. It was getting late and I had not walked the dog so I decided to go to the canyon trail by the Visitor Center for the walk so Dash could enjoy his favorite smells.

I passed a young man on the trail and we made eye contact and smiled at each other. On my way back to where I had parked, I saw this young man again and he asked me about the cross I was wearing. I introduced myself and he said his name was xxxxx. I explained the story about the cross and Ask Me. I asked xxxxx if he lived in Twin Falls and he said he used too but was now living in xxxxx. I asked if he was visiting friends or family in Twin Falls and he got a serious look on his face and said he was not. He explained several of his friends had jumped from the bridge and he moved away because he was having thoughts about the bridge. I asked him if that was why he was here and he said he was not sure. I asked if I could pray for him and he said yes. My heart was pounding and my mind was racing. I have no idea what I prayed but asked God to supply the words. After I ended the prayer xxxx was emotional and I asked him if he was OK. He said he was. I believe that God directs our footsteps if we are willing. I will admit I checked the news the next day.

Ask Me was put on my mind as a witness tool. I wear it every day as a reminder of who I serve and it helps me be a better representative of my savior on the days I am not feeling Christ like. I have many stories about ASK ME and some are positive and some are not. I like the interaction it provides either way. All Glory to Jesus.

ASK ME hats and clothing can be obtained through Threads at 355 Addison Ave West in Twin Falls. They have a limited number of hats and clothing in stock that you can purchase in the store. You may also take in what you like and ask to have the logo added to it.

Threads can also provide the MVCHAPLAIN logo if desired.
